Biography

Arianna Solare has always been an artist.

Born in Los Angeles, California, she was exposed to art and perfomance culture at an early age and definitely knew it was going to be her calling. As a pisces, Arianna’s artistic nature began to embody itself at the age of three, when she began to study dance. She began playing piano at age six, guitar at age fifteen as well as a consistent interest in visual art from the age of ten. She left school at fifteen, left home shorty after, and eventually felt drawn to move to Seattle. There she quickly became a part of the thriving avant-garde performance scene working with some of the city’s most well known choreographers and co-founding the notorious Butoh inspired multi-media-collaborative P.A.N. In that time she performed prolifically throughout Seattle, everywhere from street performances to the stages of On the Boards and the Showbox, as well as the Seattle Art Museum and the Seattle Asian Art museum, to name but a few. In 2000, Arianna premiered Grace-dampunderbarrensoil, a 22-minute experimental film, at the Seattle Art Museum. During those years, she recorded her first album under the name a:d, titled Pulse, as well as doing experimental music for performance and collaborating with some of the city’s most influential musicians of that time.::::::::: Arianna has traveled widely, spending time in India where she was welcomed to sing and play music in temples and villages with fellow Indian musicians. It was there that she was deeply influenced by the Indian vocal style and thus it began to play an important role in the development of her unique voice. Maxxed out on city life in Seattle, in 2002 Arianna felt called to move back to the still of the desert and built an off–the-grid earthen house outside of Taos, New Mexico, where she lives part time. It was following this period of connection to the vast spaces of the southwest that Arianna ended up in the hands of the music world of Los Angeles. Quite a surprise, after a three year songwriting hiadus. While singing with her harmonium at a satsang in westwood, she was approached by her to be first manager Mitchell Markus (former owner of Triloka Records) and began to compose the songs that appear on her 2008 release EP “Book of Us”. In the months after it’s first release, “Book of Us” enjoyed great acclaim from various online radio stations, podcasts and blogs, as well as valued reviews from a diverse and growing audience. Though no longer available due to Arianna Solare's choice to shift manager and label, it is intended to be re-released (with added tracks) as a full length album in late 2009.:::::::::: In the spring of 2008, Arianna decided to work with producer Gio Loria (Jack Johnson, Everlast, Black Eyed Peas). Together they created an exciting, dynamic sound, which Arianna terms “Modern Vintage”.  The songs which came to be are “Ride”, full of stunning imagery set to a danceable tempo, and “Tennessee” an epic anthem-like love song.::::::: As for her next recordings, Arianna is in a new place with it all. Now one and a half years into the L.A. music trip, she is in a place with her songs where the content is king (or queen). Currently she is in the studio in a co-collaboration with Producer/ Engineer Chris Wonzer, (Linda Perry, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Osborne, Alannis Morrisette). An exciting and fulfilling endeavor for Arianna, as Chris had been hearing her songs and live shows over the last year. In May 2009 he called and said "i will be in the studio this weekend if you want to come in do some writing together".. the beginning of a fabulous creative relationship for sure..::::::::: Often referred to as the "female Bob Dylan", Arianna is both a classic and relevant to the NOW songwriter with a unwavering dedication to the proliferation of art and music as a means towards expanded awareness and greater social consciousness. She always says that her heart has the work of a thousand hands, and it is with that fearless, pure passion that she continues to walk the path unknown and eternally unfolding.:::::: This fall, Arianna will be going to Mumbai (Bombay) to work in collaboration with Satish Deshmukh, India's number One master Illusionist-Magician. She has been asked by Satish to Perform, Choreograph and create music for his new Theatre Show "ZED". :::::::::::: Arianna is currently represented in kind by entertainment attorney Wayne Halper (Miley Cyrus) of Nashville, TN.
