This Illinois bred singer/songwriter worked closely with Mike Giangreco for som time, playing Giangreco’s acoustic showcases at the Pig’n Whistle in Hollywood, CA. Eventually, Hajek was offered a residency to play every Saturday night. Impressed with Hajek’s compositions, lyrics, performance and, especially, his authenticity, Giangreco began working with him in the studio for a compilation album. That experience led to the label’s first signing in early 2008.
